Traditionally, council inspectors completed the majority of their work in the field, recording details manually using forms and re-entering information at the office.
Following
completion of the task information is re-recorded at the office. This
administration process can be onersou, particularly when it
involves attaching photos and recording.
TechnologyOne iCouncil Inspections enables field staff to complete inspections electronically in real time, where the inspection takes place. This results in greater accuracy and security of information and prevents valuable operational resources being tied up in travel and administration.
The module incorporates functionality for building compliance, environmental health and waste-tracking inspections. As with all iCouncil modules, it uses the strengths of the iOS platform to deliver an intuitive user experience.
Record information once, accurately and easily
Without the need to return to the office, inspectors can enter information directly into the Inspections module once, easily and accurately. It also enables photographs and video to be added to the inspection results to give greater context.
All inspection modules have been configured using fast and familiar application features such as event checklists, application conditions and events workflow.
Fully
integrated
iCouncil Inspections integrates with TechnologyOne Property & Rating and other
mobile modules such as iCouncil Enquiries.

Secure
iCouncil protects the privacy of your community, with encryption at both the network and hardware layer.
It also takes advantage of the iOS data protection features to assist in protecting private information. The iOS platform supports security features such as lock screens and remote wipe to protect data when devices are stolen.
Reliable
TechnologyOne’s mobile solutions offer an occasionally connected model, where network outages won’t prevent work from being done. Continuous operation is enabled using a secure high-performance extract of the council database, which is kept on the device.
When users of iCouncil are out of range of a 3G or wi-fi network they can continue to work. When they return to a coverage area, completed work is automatically sent back to the server.
Save time, reduce travel and administration costs
Having
the ability to start and end work in the field, rather than at a specific
locations such as a deport or office, can result in ongoing
savings in terms of time and costs. The
delivery of work directly to field staff, and the ability to directly report
inspection results, can result in large efficiency gains.
