The Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) conserves and manages Queensland’s environment and natural resources. A key area of service to the public and industry professionals is DERM’s titling system, which allows property transactions to be promptly registered and provides easy access to current title information. Over recent years, around one million documents on average were processed annually, covering 30 titles registry forms, which are commonly used for registering transfers, mortgages and releases of mortgages to name a few.
“The Queensland Titles Registry is considered the most efficient in the country, largely due to the continuing improvements that TechnologyOne PLUS has developed and delivered for the ATS.” Michael Droder, Manager Titles Automation, Titles Registration.
Queensland State Archives
Building on a partnership that began more than 10 years ago, Queensland State Archives (QSA), custodian of Queensland’s largest collection of archival public records and lead agency for recordkeeping, engaged TechnologyOne Plus to develop the next stage of its world-class catalogue software system. Twelve months on from the successful implementation of a custom-built ‘next generation’ software project, the organisation reports that the archival collection management system, ArchivesOne, and its accompanying online catalogue, ArchivesSearch, have modernised the way Queensland’s archival public records are catalogued and accessed by the public.
“We recognised there was a need for QSA to move its catalogue forward to support access to digital content, but we found there to be few off-the-shelf solutions available that would meet our requirements. QSA engaged TechnologyOne Plus to develop our first system in 1997 which proved so popular that some other archival authorities across Australia went on to purchase it.” Janet Prowse, Director and State Archivist of Queensland.
Established in 1992, QLeave is the trading name of the Building and Construction Industry Portable Long Service Leave Authority. It administers a paid long service leave scheme for eligible workers in the building and construction industry, regardless of whether they work on different projects for one or more employers. In 2007, TechnologyOne Plus successfully implemented a custom built software project for QLeave, the Building Registration and Claims System (BRACS). This system has modernised the way that QLeave conducts its fundamental business processes.
“I am genuinely happy with the choice we made to contract TechnologyOne Plus for our software needs. The Plus team was highly competent and took the time to understand our business, and our unique requirements." Graeme Wilson, General Manager.
